Joseph G. Murphy reported that his charge had disappointed and despite his best efforts he could offer no explanation for his last run. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
302E Horse & Jockey Hotel H'dleThe Raceday Stewards received a request from Damien Byrne, Authorised Representative for Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Cottesloe Sunshine, to substitute the nominated rider D.E. Mullins, with J.J. Slevin. He further added that J.J. Slevin has commitments with owners Isaac Souede and Simon Munir and also with Joseph O'Brien which is public knowledge. He added that J.J. Slevin was due to ride one horse in the UK for Isaac Souede and Simon Munir, but that animal was a non runner owing to weather conditions. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards considered Regulation 3 and in particular section (3)(e).
